Your 2024 HSA Credits
If you select Medical and/or Dental coverage, you will receive annual credits to a Health Spending Account (HSA) that you can use to pay for eligible medical and dental expenses not covered elsewhere. Your choices for Medical and Dental coverage will determine your HSA credits. The following table shows HSA credits for each selection. Just add the Medical and Dental credits together to get total annual credits.
The Health Spending Account (HSA) is like an expense account that you can use to pay for medical and dental expenses that exceed coverage limits under our plan or a spouse’s plan. Some examples are eye glasses, contact lenses, paramedical services and orthodontia, all of which typically cost more than what employer-sponsored medical plans cover. You can also claim certain expenses not covered at all under your plans as long as they are eligible under the Medical Expense Tax Credit section of the Income Tax Act.
