Employees who are members of IAPE can be reimbursed up to a maximum of $700 CAD per year for expenses associated with physical fitness beginning in 2023. Previously the limit was $600 CAD per year. Examples of eligible expenses include:
- Membership at a health club or gym
- Membership at a facility for training in martial arts, yoga, Pilates or other fitness programs
- Exercise programs that charge on a per-session basis
- Personal trainers
- Entry fees for road races and similar competitions
- Court time and league fees for recreational sports such as tennis, baseball and golf
To submit for reimbursement, complete this reimbursement request form and attach your receipts of payment. Email your completed form to CanadaBenefits@harpercollins.com. You should see your reimbursement in your paycheck within 1 to 2 payroll cycles.
The annual deadline for submitting reimbursement requests is November 30. Any expenses submitted after November 30 will count toward the maximum benefit payable for the next calendar year. Family members are not eligible for reimbursement.
